Ansong Emmanuel Kwabena Nyarko is a highly motivated and dynamic civil engineer with a robust background in construction supervision and site management, supported by a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (2022-2024) and a Higher National Diploma from Takoradi Technical University (2016-2019). His academic and practical experiences have equipped him with a solid foundation in civil engineering principles and hands-on skills applicable to various building projects.
Emmanuel began his career with an internship at Obokom Civil Engineering in 2016, where he supervised the construction of a one-story teacher’s bungalow, reading architectural drawings, managing material batching, and ensuring labor efficiency. Moving forward, he completed another internship at Livic Consult in 2018, where he honed his skills in reading structural drawings and supervising construction activities. Subsequently, he served as a service person at State Housing Company Limited from September 2019 to August 2020, overseeing multiple building projects, including the setting out and supervision of several residential units.
In 2020, Emmanuel transitioned to a role as an Assistant Site Engineer at Construction Academy. Here, he supervised the construction of a six-story building while handling sub-structure works, setting up starter bars, and managing the casting of column bases. He further enhanced his supervisory skills in various projects, including overseeing the structural reinforcement for a residential building, and managing the excavation and construction activities for a duplex apartment through his role at Nem Engineering from September 2022 to December 2022.
With an innate ability to adapt to changing environments and a vibrant personality, Emmanuel is a true team player dedicated to uplifting the welfare of his colleagues while maintaining excellent communication and decision-making skills. He possesses a strong technical proficiency, including the use of Prota Structure, AutoCAD, and MS Office applications, which aids in efficient project execution.
Emmanuel’s recent experience includes overseeing projects like the construction of a four-bedroom house from January to September 2023, followed by site supervisory roles for residential buildings and retail shops, where he was involved in significant construction phases such as foundation casting, block laying, and final finishes. Notably, he is set to design a proposed two-storey retail and residential building by May 2024, which encompasses structural arrangement and analysis.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Emmanuel enjoys reading, listening to music, watching football, and documentaries, illustrating his well-rounded personality. He is supported by strong references from industry professionals, including Mr. Isaac Appau, Resident Engineer at MDC, Mr. Francis Bonzoe, Structural Engineer at Livic Consult, and Mr. Wisdom, Site Engineer at Construction Academy, who can attest to his skills and contributions in civil engineering projects.
