Collins Onyinye Ehiwario is a highly qualified civil engineer with a bachelor’s degree from the University of PortHarcourt, Nigeria, and a master’s degree from University College London. His passion for civil engineering was ignited by his fascination with the process of transforming designs into functional buildings and infrastructure. As a certified project manager with the Project Management Institute, Collins has demonstrated exceptional expertise in managing large-scale projects, integrating technical and strategic oversight to ensure successful project delivery.

With over a decade of experience in design, construction, and project management, Collins has worked on a diverse range of engineering projects. His career began as a site engineer at Equator Constructions & Engineering Limited in PortHarcourt, where he led a team in constructing a model primary school. He then progressed to GSE InterKonsult as a design structural engineer, focusing on steel and reinforced structural design for residential and commercial buildings.

Seeking more complex engineering challenges, Collins joined China Geo-Engineering Corporation (CGC), where he held various roles including Senior Civil Engineer, Construction Project Manager, and Senior Design Engineer. His notable projects at CGC included the Navy School construction in Ibusa, the African Development Bank Nigeria country office in Abuja, and the Dutse International Airport Terminal Building in Jigawa State.

Collins later transitioned to the real estate sector, working as a Project Manager at BILAAD Realty in Abuja. There, he oversaw the construction of 30 luxury apartments and 8 premium apartments. Following this, he took on a role as a Consultant Structural Engineer for the Obudu Airport Terminal Building project in Cross River state, where he was responsible for the structural design and supervision of construction, including associated steel works.

In recent years, Collins has focused on consultant roles, working as both a Structural Engineer and Project Management Consultant for major commercial buildings, particularly in the hospitality industry. His ongoing projects include the Radisson Blu Abuja, John Williams Hotel Abuja, a mixed-use commercial development, and a 25km road and infrastructure project.
Throughout his career, Collins has emphasized the importance of quality assurance, quality control, and health and safety on project sites. His ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders has consistently resulted in enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Collins’ commitment to excellence, innovation, and proactive problem-solving positions him as a valuable asset in any project team.
