Rafiu Awudu, a dedicated and skilled welding engineer from Ghana, was born on September 28, 1987. With a robust career that began as a welding apprentice, Rafiu has ascended to the role of a master welding technician and ultimately a welding engineer. His extensive hands-on experience encompasses the manufacturing, repair, assembly, overhaul, and maintenance of both light and heavy-duty mobile equipment and metallic machinery. Rafiu’s practical expertise has been instrumental in his understanding of transport and fleet management, allowing him to grasp the complexities involved in these fields.
In addition to his technical skills, Rafiu has a passion for education, having taught both practical and theoretical welding to students, thereby contributing to the development of future professionals in the industry. His commitment to innovation is evident in his interest in climate change solutions, where he has successfully developed a water flow reverse system capable of generating electricity without carbon emissions. This initiative reflects his dedication to sustainable engineering practices.
Rafiu is proficient in various professional and technical skills, including the assembly, repair, maintenance, and overhaul of machines. He is also experienced in workshop management and has a strong background in assessing damage on machines.
